Rome and the surrounding territories became increasing hostile to Jesus’ followers after His death. According to tradition, every disciple, except one, was martyred for his faith, and that disciple’s fate wasn’t much better—John was exiled to a rocky, inhospitable island called Patmos.

During this exile, Jesus Christ spoke to John in a vision. He revealed far-off future events, and He. I believe J.P.
